Welcome to our creature shop.  We have a large assortment of authentic original latex masks and creatures that are just like what they use in a real "Hollywood" film production.  Here is a sneak peek into the studio of Bloodboy Designs, and its owner and our monster maker, David Smith.

Here's Dave now.  Oops, I'm sorry, that's not Dave, but this guy bears a striking resemblance.  Just imagine this guy, but slightly scarier.  Actually, this is one of Dave's first masks, Ed.  Ed is a zombie.  He started as a lump of oil based clay that was sculpted.  That positive sculpture was then cast into plaster to create a negative.  Then the negative was "slushed" with latex to create the actual mask.  Add a little bit of special monster paint and presto!
Here's one of those lumps of clay.  Eeew!  This guy looks like he could use a trip to the dermatologist.  Dave uses various tools and methods to create a flesh like texture on the clay.  Every little nook and cranny will be picked up by the plaster when this mask is casted.
It takes hours of patience and skill to bring these creatures to life.
On the right you can see one of Dave's clay tools.  I wonder what he's going to look like at The Fright?
Here's one of our friends painted and ready for The Fright.  Are you ready?
