| Digital Edge Productions is the brain
child behind The Fright, which is owned and operated by Dustin Schieler,
long time local resident of Porterville. Dustin actually started
building haunted houses over ten years ago while in the eighth grade.
Along the way, he discovered many loyal Halloween enthusiasts, that have
helped Dustin create a new level of frightful entertainment.

Here is a Porterville Recorder newspaper clipping of the 1997 Monache Choir Haunted House that Dustin was commissioned to create and help the kids act in the production. |
| Here's Dustin and his friend Samantha Lucas in the full size cave of the 1996 production of the Monache Choir Haunted house. Dustin looks a little thin and haggard; always one of the side effects of these events. | ![]() |

Dustin's friend Brien is working with the kids during the '96 production, on the cemetery. The outside area of the building was always one of the best things about using this location. It offered one of the creepiest natural settings you could find in town. |
| Our cave was erected outside and covered nearly 600 square feet! All the walls were made from papier-mâché, chicken wire, and scrap wood. It took hundreds of hours to create, but did it ever look amazing for being built for almost no money! | ![]() |

Dustin is standing in the mouth of the skull exit of '97's haunt, which will now soon guard the ticket booth at the Porterville Fairgrounds waiting for you to enter. One of Dustin's "larger" ideas, he's sure to be the first of many more in years to come. |
| Sherri Cummings was our lost soul that allowed the would-be victims to enter the haunt. The gate would mysteriously open on its own to let the next group through. | ![]() |

You can't tell from this picture, but this room was one of our scariest. The room at first appeared very harmless, but once you turn the lights out, the room changes to something very different, and very evil. We plan to use this effect again this year. You'll have to come to The Fright Festival to see our little scare in action. |
| Here's the skull once again at night. Victims could see his eerie red glowing eyes from the busy street. | ![]() |
