| Constructing The Fright in a building
that's over the size of a football field is an overwhelming task to say
the least. Last year's Fright occupied over 7000 square feet of space
in just the area where the audience wandered through. This year's
floor plan will encompass over an astounding 10,000 square feet!

The Porterville High School Building/Trade Class Helped our effort and constructed most of the main paneling for The Fright. Their teacher, Mr. Tom Reed, shown here, helped us out tremendously! Thank you! |
| Here are some of the students hard at work making the paneling for The Fright. It takes nearly 400 4'x8' sheets of plywood and OSB just to make up the walls! | ![]() |

The panels are framed on either a 4'x8' or 8'x8' frame before assembled inside the expo building. |
| Several pounds of nails and screws make the whole thing come together. It's a good thing we had a nail gun and lots of automatic screwdrivers. | ![]() |

Many others came down to help out as well. Friends and family came down to the fair grounds quite often to lend a hand. |
| There's Dustin's mother, Jo Anne mixing some paint, and his friend Matt Hammer setting up panels. | ![]() |

Here's a volunteer spraying our made up concoction of "Dark" on the panels. Notice that it's at night in the picture? Long hours are a common thing with this kind of work. |
